Digital Image Manipulation (Beginners)

Monday 4:45-6:45pm
Thursday 7:00-9:00pm

 

This is a basic course using Photoshop which will show people with no, or very little knowledge, how to improve the pictures they have taken with their digital cameras. Almost every picture taken can be vastly improved by a few clicks of the mouse!

The course will include the following topics:
•  Downloading digital images to a computer
•  Basic guidelines for storing and for backing-up images (file management)
•  Basic techniques to improve an image such as straightening, cropping, adjusting colours and brightness and red-eye removal
•  How to produce photographic quality prints

Who is the course for?
This course is designed for newcomers to digital image manipulation who would like to be able use their computer make simple adjustments to their digital photographs. It may also be of interest to those thinking about `going digital` who would like to know more about digital photography before committing themselves to purchasing new equipment.

The course assumes no prior knowledge of digital photography or imaging techniques but a basic familiarisation with computers would be an advantage.
